1. What role does love play in the operation of the prophetic giftings in today's society?

Love as it is defined/described in 1 Corinthians will help ensure that God's mercy, patience and kindness are at the forefront of all prophetic interactions. Whether the word is fun or challenging should not affect the "altar side manner" of the person trusted with delivering the word. God is/was patient with all of us. We can communicate the urgency and seriousness without expecting the recipient to undergo an immediate transformation. As far as I know not many people have been able to immediately transform, the instant they receive a word.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8(Message)

4 Love never gives up. Love cares more for others than for self. Love doesn't want what it doesn't have. Love doesn't strut, Doesn't have a swelled head,
5 Doesn't force itself on others, Isn't always "me first," Doesn't fly off the handle, Doesn't keep score of the sins of others,
6 Doesn't revel when others grovel, Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,
7 Puts up with anything, Trusts God always, Always looks for the best, Never looks back, But keeps going to the end.
8 Love never dies. Inspired speech will be over some day; praying in tongues will end; understanding will reach its limit.

"Day 1 - God created light and separated the light from the darkness, calling light "day" and darkness "night."
Day 2 - God created an expanse to separate the waters and called it "sky."
Day 3 - God created the dry ground and gathered the waters, calling the dry ground "land," and the gathered waters "seas." On day three, God also created vegetation (plants and trees).
Day 4 - God created the sun, moon, and the stars to give light to the earth and to govern and separate the day and the night. These would also serve as signs to mark seasons, days, and years.
Day 5 - God created every living creature of the seas and every winged bird, blessing them to multiply and fill the waters and the sky with life.
Day 6 - God created the animals to fill the earth. On day six, God also created man and woman (Adam and Eve) in his own image to commune with him. He blessed them and gave them every creature and the whole earth to rule over, care for, and cultivate.
Day 7 - God had finished his work of creation and so he rested on the seventh day, blessing it and making it holy."

3. Do you believe you are a prophet? If so, why?

I believe that I'm called to the prophetic. I believe that my personal designation of Prophet should be officially made by someone else.

4. Do you have an active relationship with the Lord?

Active as in HE speaks, and I get annoyed because I don't necessarily want to submit.

5. How important is the Word of God in your everyday life?

I try to at least read a scripture a day lately. Some seasons it's more. In some seasons it's significantly less.

6. What does the scripture in Romans 11:25 - 36 mean to you? Also, specifically, share what verse 29 means to you?

It seems that Israel's heart has been hardened so that the opportunity for salvation can be available to the Gentile. Israel will receive Mercy as a result of their forefather's obedience, and the fact that God has designed gifts to be "irrevocable". Obedience, in this case, is impressive because verse 32 says, "For God has bound everyone over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all." To go against God's original programming to gain favor with God is a very interesting idea.

"29 for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable."

If He said it's yours. It's yours. The way you use the gift can be perverted, but that will not revoke a gift. Maybe there's a difference between a gift and a calling. Having a gift to preach and missing the calling may be possible.

7. What can you learn from the story of Baalim the prophet in Numbers 22?

God seems to challenge people's obedience with seemingly conflicting information. God sanctioned the trip in verse 20. Then the angel was on the road when he left warning him. Then he was allowed to go after offering to turn back. Maybe it was all to stress the importance of saying only what God wants and nothing more.

20 That night God came to Balaam and said, “Since these men have come to summon you, go with them, but do only what I tell you.”

21 Balaam got up in the morning, saddled his donkey and went with the Moabite officials.
22 But God was very angry when he went, and the angel of the LORD stood in the road to oppose him. Balaam was riding on his donkey, and his two servants were with him.

31 Then the LORD opened Balaam’s eyes, and he saw the angel of the LORD standing in the road with his sword drawn. So he bowed low and fell facedown.
32 The angel of the LORD asked him, “Why have you beaten your donkey these three times? I have come here to oppose you because your path is a reckless one before me.

34 Balaam said to the angel of the LORD, “I have sinned. I did not realize you were standing in the road to oppose me. Now if you are displeased, I will go back.”
35 The angel of the LORD said to Balaam, “Go with the men, but speak only what I tell you.” So Balaam went with Balak’s officials.
